ITH Christmas Advent Calendar Project 5x7
5x7 designs in Hus, Pes and Jef formats only
The Advent calendar dates back to the 1800’s and is a special calendar used to count down the days to Christmas. Nowadays these calendars are aimed at children, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus.
Our Advent Calendar project consists of 12 panels (six rows x 2 panels per row). Each panel is fully appliquéd and embroidered. Once all the panels are made they are joined together using your sewing machine, creating a stunning family heirloom that can be used year after year.
The first two rows of the Advent calendar depict a vintage style Santa examining the toys he will be delivering to lucky boys and girls on Christmas Eve. This Santa scene would also make a great cushion cover or even tote bag front for the holidays.
The project also consists of four rows of pocket panels. Each pocket panel has three numbered in-the-hoop pockets, which can be filled with candy or a small surprise making the countdown to Christmas Day even more exciting!
