This is an “in the hoop” face mask designed to cover the nose and mouth as comfortably as possible. There are no wires that press into your skin and the mask is shaped with darts to fit over the nose and chin area.

The pattern is very quick and easy to make, with a small amount of simple hand or machine stitching involved. You can whip these up in no time at all, with minimal materials.

The masks have a pocket on the inside for a carbon filter, which further filters fine dust and particles. The pocket size is approx. 5 x 3 ¼ inches and is large enough for filters available on Amazon, like the ones shown in the listing photos or homemade filters.

Please note that these masks are not intended to replace surgical masks. Their role is to primarily reduce the incidence of touching your nose and mouth with your fingers and secondly to reduce the spread of droplets from a sneeze or cough.
